Driver's License Suspensions for Unpaid Fines Lifted

A new law, effective April 9th, eliminated license suspensions due to unpaid court fines and costs. Qualifying suspensions will be cleared by May 9, 2025. The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles will send letters to everyone affected. The letters will explain any further steps necessary to get a valid license. This new law does not erase existing fines. Make sure your address is updated with the BMV by going online here.
